Suite for Flute and Piano

This piece was written for my sister, Chris Wolken, in 1995. The three movements- “Sylvan”, “Evensong”, and “Changeling”- tell the story of a child who wanders into the forest, enchanted with the sounds of the evening. She is then captured by the woodland fairies and changed into a wild child. Cover photograph by Brian Marsh.
